FMA Titanium Pedistal
The model TIP-105 titanium pedestal has been developed to house a single Omnetics nano connector (model num- bers A8141-001, A8784-001, A8828- 001 or equivalent) used in the fabrica- tion of our Floating Micro-electrode Arrays (FMA). It may also be used with similarly designed chronic electrode systems that utilize the same connector type.

The titanium pedestal incorporates a silicone gasket and titanium lid, which is attached using 0-80 Allen Head Screws, so that when moisture and airborne debris are unable to contaminate the connector contacts. The connector is sealed at the bottom of the pedestal with a bio- compatible epoxy.

MicroProbes for Life Science recommends in- house installation of the connector to the ped- estal prior to shipping. However, the pedestal is also sold as a standalone unit if the investi- gators opt to attach the connector themselves to the FMA, or have other applications. The lid screws and an Allen wrench are included as well as an extra silicone gasket.
